We are looking for a Master student to conduct the following work within the scope of an internship:

Develop and test a full 6-DOF model of a generic reusable rocket for rapid-prototyping of guidance and control algorithms. The tasks include

  • Implementation and test of full parametric equations of motion in Matlab/Simulink
  • Computation of aerodynamic coefficients by means of CFD tools
  • Modeling of rocket in 3D modeling tools (e.g., Blender)
  • Animation model in Blender

Strong programming skills in Matlab/Simulink are required. Knowledge of OpenFoam or Blender is an asset. The job position is located in Bremen, Germany at DLR’s Institute of Space Systems.

Your qualifications:

  • Master student enrolled in a university course looking for an internship in aerospace engineering
  • advanced knowledge of Matlab/Simulink and mathematical programming is required.
  • fluent in written and spoken English
  • knowledge of OpenFoam is an asset
  • knowledge of 3D Modeling tools (e.g., Blender) is a plus
