Expansion and maintenance of the control software and computer infrastructure for the Optical Ground Stations

Free Space Optical (FSO) communication involves establishing laser links between Optical Ground Stations (optical telescopes) and Optical Terminals (on aircraft, satellites or stationary). Currently, the ground stations are running several software applications which control and monitor various aspects of their operation.

The main aims for the advertised work are:

  • expand Control Software with new features
  • perform regular software maintenance
  • prototype implementation of new Project directions

Your qualifications:

  • Generalist, studying Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or similar, with hands-on experience in C++ programming and the Linux operating system.
  • Experience with any of the following is advantageous: Software Engineering, Computer Vision, Software Testing and CMake.
