Our mission:

At the Institute of Space Propulsion, highly qualified scientists work on the testing and ongoing development of rocket engines for future space transport systems. Our goal is to ensure independent European access to space. For this, we are developing test facilities, measurement and control technology for rocket test stands, and researching core components for chemical engines. We also plan, set up and operate various test beds under contract to the European Space Agency (ESA). This includes, for example, the P4 alititude simulation test bench for the development of upper stage engines, the only such facility in Europe.
