In a highly connected world, the dangers presented by cyber-attacks are growing and must be taken into account. DLR infrastructures such as spaceflight operation, communication networks, time signals or satellite navigation are directly affected and need for secure strategies that ensure their correct performance. Security procedures need to be considered in both software systems as well as in hardware development. Additionally, more often than not we rely on remote computer centers or cloud services to storage our data or perform our analysis. These connections must be ensured and weaknesses in the systems need to be promptly detected and resolved to avoid security risks. These topics offer a great field for further research and the developments done in this area would lead to guidelines and strategies in order to guarantee a certain level of security.
