Use of Remote Sensing Technologies for the Digitalization in Crop Production
AgriSens - Demmin 4.0 serves the use of geoinformation in crop production. In the project, remote sensing data and digital processes are used to answer practical questions in crop production. Proven methods are further developed and new approaches to solutions are developed. This benefits the farmer, agriculture and society. In the Citizen Science subdivision, scientists from DLR and the University of Jena are developing citizen science strategies that involve farmers in data collection. In this way, for example, local knowledge of farmers can be collected for the mapping of low-yield areas and made available to farmers in the form of value-added products.
