Observing Earth from space - IGARSS 2012
With TanDEM-X, TerraSAR-X and other missions, Germany’s contributions to these fields are on the rise; at this symposium, we will learn more about these and the other missions and technologies that are continuously helping us to not only learn more about the planet that we live on and the changes that are occurring, but also to assist with relief work during crises. Videos in near real-time from the DLR/ESA exhibition stand will bring you statements from DLR Chairman Prof. Johann-Dietrich Wörner, IGARSS General Co-chairs Prof. Alberto Moreira, General Co-chair of IGARSS 2012 and Director of the DLR Microwaves and Radar Institute and Dr. Yves-Louis Desnos, Head of the Research and Development Section at the Earth Observation Programme Directorate of ESA and some of the many experts speaking at the symposium.
What are the current missions? Would you like to know what missions are in the pipeline? Or perhaps how the missions are relevant to life on Earth and what we know about our planet? If you want to know the answers to these questions, don’t miss all the updates that will be coming soon! If you wish, you can watch the live stream here. You will also be able to follow us through youtube, Facebook, Flickr and Twitter. Welcome to the IGARSS 2012 blog!
