23rd Brandenburg Energy Day 2023
The success of the energy turnaround through an interplay of energy saving and efficiency with renewable energies is the central theme of the 23rd Brandenburg Energy Day. The motto of this year's event at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) is "Shaping the energy turnaround - opportunities and solutions for the Brandenburg economy".
The Brandenburg Energy Day is the big annual get-together of Brandenburg's energy industry and science. This year, 450 visitors will deal with current innovation topics of the industry. With almost 30 exhibitors, the event has a new record.

In the afternoon, the event was divided into parallel forums on the topics of energy efficiency, renewable energies and the implementation of the heat transition. Prof. Dr. Uwe Riedel presented the research results in Forum 3. In his talk on "Implementation of the heat transition using the example of high-temperature heat pumps - a key component of the industrial heat transition", he highlighted efficiency gains achieved by the novel high-temperature heat pumps developed by DLR. The forum was moderated by Klaus Henschke, Cluster Manager Energy Technology Berlin-Brandenburg WFBB.
