Innovation Commissioner of the Federal Government for Green Hydrogen informs himself about the research of BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg
On March 21, 2022, Dr. Stefan Kaufmann visited BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg to learn about current projects and collaborations in energy research.
The topic of energy is an integral part of Lusatia and has shaped the region and research at the BTU for many years. With the energy transition and the goal of ensuring a sustainable and environmentally friendly energy supply - away from nuclear and fossil fuels - the BTU has a special role to play. Research on "green hydrogen" forms one pillar of the activities towards a climate-neutral economy and is crucial for decarbonization, for example in the steel and chemical industries.
