Korean researchers visit the Institute of Low Carbon Industrial Processes

On August 21, Korean researchers from the Korean Institute of Machinery & Materials (KIMM) and the Korea Institute of Energy Research (KIER) visited the DLR Institute of Low Carbon Industrial Processes in Cottbus, Germany.

During the visit, they introduced their respective institutes and exchanged information on representative research and development activities.

After a productive meeting to discuss future collaboration, the Korean researchers had the opportunity to visit the CoBra (Cottbus Brayton Process) high-temperature heat pump.

This meeting marks the beginning of a collaboration aimed at advancing low-carbon industrial processes at institutions in both countries.

The joint research projects target the design of turbomachinery for Brayton heat pumps with a special focus on compactness and packaging, as well as the complete design of a Brayton heat pump and the required auxiliary system.
