Saxony's Minister President Michael Kretschmer visits DLR in Zittau
The Minister President of the Free State of Saxony, Michael Kretschmer, visited the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in Zittau on September 23, 2022. There he informed himself about the research work of the DLR Institute of Low-Carbon Industrial Processes. Prof. Dr. Karsten Lemmer, DLR Executive Board Member for Innovations, Transfer and Scientific Infrastructures, and Prof. Dr. Uwe Riedel, Director of the DLR Institute welcomed the Minister President.
The DLR Institute of Low-Carbon Industrial Processes has been newly established at the Zittau site since July 2019. In close partnership with regional industry and science, the employees develop technologies for low-carbon industrial processes. With research impulses and innovations, the DLR institute is one of the most important players in structural change in the Lausitz region. It supports regional science and industry in the development of new technologies. At the same time, the institute actively contributes to structural change in the region. In addition, there is intensive collaboration with the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences and cooperation with industrial companies in the region.
