Aviation Research & Innovation Strategy (ARIS) presented
ARIS - the Avation Research & Innovation Strategy - was presented at the Paris Air Show 2025. It is a joint call from a broad range of European aviation stakeholders urging the EU Commission to include the strategy in future research, industrial and investment frameworks for the period 2028-2034 to ensure that Europe maintains its position as a world leader in aviation.
ARIS is calling for investment in three strategic areas:
- Next generation aircraft technologies
- Efficient air traffic management
- Forward-looking requirements such as advanced manufacturing and maintenance, digitalisation and workforce qualification
To achieve impact, the entire innovation pipeline must be supported - from early research to commercialisation.
