BMWK and PT-LF visit UpLift's test infrastructure

UpLift ground testing infrastructure
Representatives of the BMWK and the Project Management Agency for Aviation Research inspect the construction of the UpLift ground test infrastructure

Today we had the opportunity to visit the DLR in Braunschweig. Together with the BMWK and those responsible at DLR, we discussed the current status of the ground test infrastructure and the recent PtL flight measurement campaign for the D328 flying test platform. We were then able to visit the test benches on site at the Institute of Lightweight Structures. An exciting insight into the world of UpLift!

The tour illustrated the work on and with UpLift, which aims to accelerate the development of technology components by enabling early test campaigns under aviation-relevant operating conditions during the development process. UpLift can be used by research institutions, industrial companies and SMEs as an independent, non-discriminatory and open research platform. The project is funded by the BMWK. DLR acts as a neutral operator of the aircraft demonstrator and the ground test environment. Further information on UpLift can be found on the website: Uplift - Uplift H2 Aviation
