Your input is needed: Exchange with SMEs on the development of the BMWK's aviation research strategy

The Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK) is preparing to revise the BMWK's aviation research strategy. This will form the basis for the continuation of the Aviation Research Programme VII (LuFo Climate VII) in further calls for proposals.

The transformation process of the industry towards climate and environmental protection should also be a core element of the aviation research strategy. The guidelines provided by the Paris Climate Agreement and the EU Commission's Green Deal serve as orientation markers for the strategy. There are also other challenges, such as the better integration of MRO topics into research funding or developments in helicopter technology, as well as UAM and drones.

The BMWK is using the wealth of experience gained from past LuFo funding programmes and their evaluation, as well as input from the German aviation industry, to develop the aviation research strategy in the best possible way for the future.

We hereby invite you to a joint exchange on Friday, 11 April 2025 from 10 to 11:30 am. During this exchange, the BMWK wants to discuss the key points of the strategy with you as an SME and give you the opportunity to provide your SME-specific input. The event will take place digitally as a video conference.

If you are an SME and are interested in participating in this event, please send us an e-mail to kmu-beratung-luftfahrt@dlr.de so that we can send you the dial-in details.
