DLR is presenting its latest rail research at InnoTrans. The Institute of Transportation Systems will also be there with exhibits on topics such as personalized passenger information, predictive maintenance, ETCS, positioning and automated driving.

InnoTrans is the leading international trade fair for transport technology at the Berlin Exhibition Centre. It is divided into the focal points Railway Technology, Railway Infrastructure, Public Transport, Interiors and Tunnel Constructions. With more than 2,500 exhibitors, the trade fair attracts more than 130,000 trade visitors to Berlin every two years.

As in previous years, the Institute of Transportation Systems will be represented at the DLR stand together with other DLR institutes with exciting exhibits on all aspects of rail transport.

Personalised passenger information

The exhibit "Situational awareness at a hub" at InnoTrans 2024 visualises the possibilities that digitalisation offers travellers. Instead of displaying all available means of transport on a common departure board, travellers are only shown the information that is relevant to their journey.

NGT-TAXI - Business Case Analysis

An evaluation of the NGT-TAXI was carried out on the basis of two vehicle variants and two use cases. The innovative NGT-TAXI vehicle concept is a short, light and modular rail vehicle, which is equipped with a catenary-independent zero-emission powertrain.
