Airline pilots and cabin crews are confronted with special strains in their professional lives, e.g. frequent flights to various destinations around the world, jet lag, stress and radiation exposure, and close contact with numerous passengers. These challenges may affect their susceptibility to infectious diseases. To this end, we are conducting a survey among pilots and cabin crew in connection with the coronavirus pandemic. The aim of the anonymous survey is to assess the incidence of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and its severity among pilots and cabin crew and to stratify it according to individual risk factors.
