Since 2013, the ZKI-DE Service has enabled Federal Authorities to acquire and analyze current and past remote sensing data at short notice, from which ZKI-specific and user-defined information can be generated. The current framework agreement (2017-2020) between the Federal Ministry of the Interior (BMI) and DLR provides, among other things, training users in the application of remote sensing technology and informing them about technological innovations.
Against this background, a training course on the ZKI-DE Remote Sensing Service for Federal Authorities was held from 6 March to 7 March 2018 at the Federal Office for Cartography and Geodesy (BKG) in Frankfurt. Besides an introduction into the basics of satellite and aerial remote sensing, the service ZKI-DE including all of its components and aspects was presented. In addition, the course offered the chance to share experience on completed activations and to develop new ideas for further developments.
