Global Ozone Monitoring Experiment-2
As member of the EUMETSAT Satellite Application Facility on Ozone and Atmospheric Chemistry Monitoring (O3M-SAF) the EOC derives a number of trace gases and cloud properties from the GOME-2 sensor onboard the MetOp satellites. The end user receives the products within two hours after sensing - 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

ZKI Fire Monitoring System
DLR's Centre for Satellite Based Crisis Information provides an operational service for monitoring burnt areas in Europe. For this purpose, DLR receives and processes MODIS data from up to eight overflights of the Terra and Aqua satellites every day. Data from the Sentinel-3 satellites are also integrated. The algorithm used for burnt area detection was developed at DLR and shows not only the extent of the area burnt but also the intensity of the fires. The data can be accessed as web services via the EOC Geoservice.
