Robot Based Automation Concepts



GroFi – Fiber Placement Research Facility

  • Production of up to 20 m x 5.5 m part size
  • Combined usage of tape-laying and fibre-placement with up to 8 lay-up units (Kuka KR-500-2 with Siemens Control)
  • Sensor systems for quality assurance and quality monitoring
  • Primary thermoset prepreg and dry fibre material (thermoplastic also possible)
