Visit by AIST researchers from Japan

Recently, researchers from the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) from Japan visited us in Jülich, who have been in digital exchange with the solar production process assessment group for years as part of a cooperation agreement.

Middle East and North Africa: huge potential for hydrogen and synthetic fuels from renewables

The German Aerospace Center (DLR), the Wuppertal Institute and the Institute for Future Energy and Material Flow Systems (IZES) have conducted a study to investigate the role that the Middle East and North Africa could play in supplying Germany and Europe with hydrogen and synthetic fuels from renewable resources. The results show that the MENA region (Middle East and North Africa) has enormous potential and enables cost-effective production.

Christian Sattler receives the ASME Dedicated Service Award 2022

The Director of the Institute of Future Fuels and Divisional Director for Energy and Transport Prof. Christian Sattler has been a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) since 2006. With this award, the ASME recognises Sattler's many years of outstanding personal commitment in various offices and functions of the Society. In addition to organising major conferences, he served on the board of the Solar Energy Division for more than six years and now advises committees on renewable energy issues as an expert with the Clean Energy Technology Group (CETG).
