ALAADy (Automated Low Altitude Air Delivery)

Low-flying, unmanned aerial transport is the subject of various DLR projects under the leadership of the Institute of Flight Systems Technology. From conception to practical trial operation, DLR scientists are investigating various unmanned aerial systems for freight transport. Application scenarios being investigated include, for example, humanitarian aid or time-critical on-demand transport missions..

Projects

→ Design and simulation of a system with 1 ton payload (2016-2019)
→ Realization of a prototype: ALAADy-Demonstrator (2016-2019)
→ Trial operation in humanitarian application (2018)
→ Cross-country flight with the unmanned gyrocopter ALAADy-Demonstrator: ALAADy-CC (2022-2024)
