SmallSat Conference - August 2023
At the end of August, three of our colleagues returned from the SmallSat Conference 2023 in Utah with a wealth of insights into current trends in industry and science. The event provided a comprehensive exploration of the pragmatic applications of AI in satellite operations and data analysis, signifying a notable shift in space technology approaches.

European Space Forum - July 2023
In July, we participated in this year's European Space Forum in Brussels. Shortly after the start of the Spanish EU Presidency, the European Space Forum was dedicated to the theme "Strength, security, resilience - Protecting Europe's interests in and through space".

Bonding company contact fair Stuttgart - June 2023
Together with other colleagues from the German Aerospace Center (DLR), we took part in the bonding company contact fair in Stuttgart at the end of June. Every year, the trade fair is organised and run entirely by the student council of the University of Stuttgart. In addition to DLR, many other companies from the aerospace industry and other sectors took part.

Munich New Space Summit - May 2023
New Space, Next Space, Space 5.0 or just Space? In May, we attended the Munich New Space Summit, organised by Munich Aerospace. It was the first congress completely dedicated to New Space and we were able to meet many new people and discuss the latest developments in the space sector.

Girls' day - April 2023
Every year, Girls' Day and Boys' Day take place all over Germany. This is a day of action dedicated entirely to career guidance for young people from the 5th grade onwards. Girls' Day places a special focus on professions in science, technology, IT and crafts and aims to encourage girls to get to know these occupational fields.

Munich Satellite Navigation Summit - March 2023
The Munich Satellite Navigation Summit will take place from March 13 to 15, 2023. The Galileo Competence Center will be present with numerous employees to inform themselves about the latest developments in the GNSS field.

QYRO - The first satellite controlled with quantum technology
The Galileo Competence Center has partnered with Q.ANT, Bosch and TRUMPF to develop space-qualified attitude sensors. These sensors, based on quantum technology, are expected to help precisely align mini-satellites and improve global data communications.

Meet you at the IAC in Paris - 18-22 September 2022
Galileo Competence Center employees will be at the International Astronautical Congress (IAC) 2022 which will be hosted in Paris, France from Sunday to Thursday, 18-22 September at the Paris Convention Centre (1 place de la Porte de Versailles, Paris).

Neue Ideen für die Weltzeit
Da es in Deutschland mehrere Einrichtungen gibt die zu der Weltzeit UTC beitragen, hat man vor einigen Jahren aus einem Kennenlernen-Treffen eine jährliche Zusammenkunft eingeführt. Dieses Jahr fand das Treffen beim DLR Oberpfaffenhofen statt.

COMPASSO at the ILA - Berlin
The Galileo Competence Center will present the COMPASSO project at ILA Berlin from 22 to 26 June. The ILA is the largest aerospace fair in Germany and offers visitors the opportunity to get to know the entire spectrum of the aerospace industry.
