This unique gathering of high-level global speakers from industry, academia and government provide participants with stimulating discussions and information on current and future developments in the GNSS world.
We all know how important global satellite navigation has become for our modern society. But especially now, in the current geopolitical situation, we are reminded more than ever of the importance of availability and robustness, but above all of independent access to these services, which Galileo provides for Europe and of course for other regions of the world.
Harald Hofmann (Acting Director Administration and Infrastructure) moderated the MUNICH FLASHLIGHTS – NEWS FROM BAVARIA session in which business leaders from the region of Bavaria explained their views on the future of the satellite business and the advantages of locating a business in Bavaria. While the pandemic has been a challenge also for the industry in Bavaria the companies have managed to improve their operations. The companies see GNSS augmentation through multiple constellations, as well as the uptake of optical technologies and a more agile way of working as key for the future.
