The first version of the GNSS Monitoring application (https://gnss-monitoring.dlr.de) is live - and we are very proud to present it here.
GNSS Performance Monitoring is a unique DLR application comparing internationally available navigation satellite system data (Galileo - EU, GPS - USA, GLONASS - Russia, BeiDou - China) in a consistent manner using the same high-performance antennas, receiver networks and analysis algorithms for each system.
For example, direct comparisons of signal strength and coverage can be made between the individual systems, deviations in the clocks relative to a known time scale can be determined on the different navigation systems and ionospheric influences (e.g. solar storms) can be analysed.
Our GNSS Performance Monitoring website is intended to address both to GNSS novices, as well as to GNSS professionals. Using the software, you can dive into the world of navigation to acquaint yourself with GNSS basics, while professionals can flexibly compile their diagrams and analyses with the GNSS Advanced functionality.
We wish all curious users many instructive discoveries and we look forward to your feedback at gnss-performance@dlr.de.
