The project “Advanced Technologies for Navigation and Geodesy (ADVANTAGE)” investigates the benefits of optical clock, atom interferometer and optical ranging and communication technology for applications in navigation, geodesy and time-metrology.

GRACE-FO
The Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment Follow-On (GRACE-FO) mission is a succeessor to the GRACE mission which was terminated in 2017. GRACE-FO includes an additional laser ranging instrument as technology demonstrator.

BOOST
The BOOST (BOOst Symmetry Test) mission has been proposed as a future DLR small satellite mission. It aims to test the foundations of special relativity by conducting a modern Kennedy-Thorndike (KT) experiment, which will investigate the possible dependency of the speed of light on the speed of the source.
