Mobility is evolving in urban scenarios and the multimodality is the key to a more efficient transportation.
Our goal is to provide ubiquitous navigation to all road users with special attention towards vulnerable road users like pedestrians, cyclists, and motor bikers.
Our philosophy is to use sensors embedded in smart watch, smart glasses, smart clothes and also smartphone and to use a multi-sensor fusion approach based on inertial sensors, magnetometer, barometer and GNSS.
In the past we concentrated on accurate pedestrian localization indoors. Now we carry out research for navigation in the city of the future.
We work on seamless navigation over all modes of transportation and environments.
We also include taxi, car sharing or particular vehicles as well as public transport, such as subway, train or bus.
We have promising results regarding the seamless detection of the mean of transport. Our algorithms make only use of the available wearable sensors.
