WirelessCabin is primarily focused on ensuring the co-existence of wireless technologies such as GSM/UMTS, IEEE 802.11 and Bluetooth within an aircraft environment whilst meeting fligh safety standards. Through thorough propagation measurements, detailed network topology designs and efficient networking protocols the WirelessCabin project team endeavours to make air travel a comforting and entertaining experience by enabling passengers ‘always-on’.
The WirelessCabin Services are Voice Communication Services, Messaging (SMS, MMS), Onboard Intranet for Local Content, Internet (including Corporate Intranet with VPN Function, Personaland Business E-Mails, (Live) Audio and (Live TV) Video broadcast, Video/Audio on Demand, Online Games, Fax and Video/Audio Conference.
