Adaptive Coding and Modulation Modem for Broadband Communic

The main objective of this ESA funded project is to develop a demonstrator for testing of adaptive coding and modulation (ACM) techniques for broadband satellite communications based on the DVB-S2 specification for the forward link, and the DVB-RCS specification including necessary modifications for the return link.

Phase 1 will cover system scenario detailed definition, ACM modem demonstrator specification, high level design of ACM modem algorithms, high level channel simulator definition and design of physical layer adaptation techniques.

Phase 2 will cover the ACM modem demonstrator Architectural design, detailed ACM modem demonstrator design, ACM modem demonstrator test/validation plan and ACM modem demonstrator implementation and testing.
