In cooperation with the Federal Network Agency, the Institute has been operating the first civilian maritime test area off the coast of the Darß peninsula since 2016 to investigate the impact of jamming and spoofing attacks in the L-band. Since then, real-life tests of the technologies and systems developed at the Institute for detecting, masking and bridging deliberately induced jamming and spoofing attacks on the signals of global satellite navigation systems have been taking place there.
