TASC - Threat Analysis and Simulation Center

As part of a major investment measure, the Threat Analysis and Simulation Center (TASC) is currently being built as the Institute's new large-scale facility. It is based on existing sensor technology for the acquisition of GNSS data (EVnet, 30m antenna in Weilheim, GBAS testbed, IMPC, interference sensor stations, clock laboratory) and will be supplemented by a secondary high-gain antenna in Oberpfaffenhofen as well as a processing unit (PC cluster incl. data archiving).

This will be used to analyse sensor data in order to identify and evaluate potential threats and to create the basis for their modelling. The aim is to describe extraordinary effects whose influence can lead to disruptions of satellite navigation systems, especially Galileo, to incorrect position solutions and thus also to the endangerment of users.
