An article on the topic of flight routes for supersonic aircraft has been published successfully in the AIAA Journal of Aircraft. The piece written by Bernd Liebhardt (first author) originated in his research work on operational aspects of high speed aircraft. The department of Air Transport Operations in the Institute of Air Transportation Systems has been researching this topic for several years. The underlying work was supported by cooperation with DLR’s Institute of Atmospheric Physics.
