At the 20th Workshop of the European Astrobiology Network Association (EANA) from September 7-10, 2021 (online), Dr. Kristina Beblo-Vranesevic (Department of Radiation Biology, Astrobiology Working Group) received an "EANA 2021 Presentation Award" for her contribution "From Mars analogue environments to space: ground data evaluation of the survivability of Buttiauxella sp. MASE-IM-9 and Salinisphaera shabanensis".
PhD student Hector Palomeque (Department of Radiation Biology, Astrobiology Working Group) achieved the 4th place with his video contribution on "Ignicoccus hospitalis - understanding its extraordinary radiation tolerance and an unsolved archaeal repair system" at the "Space Factor Contest" of the 20th EANA Workshop.
