The COY™ Workbenches for anoxic applications

The COY™ Workbenches for anoxic applications

The flexible vinyl glove boxes are a simple system for sealed environments with specific gas atmospheres. Equipped with gas inlet and automatic pressure relief system the workbench can create a low oxygen environment. Our workbenches are operated amongst others with forming gas (N2 95% / H2 5% vol/vol), and they are equipped with palladium catalysts for oxygen removal, HEPA filtration systems, drying systems, and oxygen/hydrogen sensors. Furthermore the COY™ workbenches are also used for the integration of biological and chemical samples into space hardware under defined gas conditions (e.g. N2 or Argon) (see also: EXPOSE).

Additionally, a gas station is available, which allows the application of different gases (e.g. H2/CO2, N2/CO2) at different pressures in the cultivation vessels. Altogether, this allows working under strictly anoxic conditions, as required for the cultivation of strict anaerobic microorganisms.
