With the thesis "Dynamics close to Bifurcations: From Spins to Granular Media" Koray Önder has graduated with a PhD on 20 September 2019 at the University of Cologne in theoretical physics.
In his work, Mr. Önder shows the relevance of bifurcations in such diverse systems as granular mixtures, schematic models, classic hard spheres and kinetically constrained spin systems.
The work was completed within just three years at the Institute of Material Physics in Space.
