Aerosols from ocean shipping cause a significant negative climate forcing

Intercomparison of warming (positive) and cooling (negative) effects of greenhouse gases, aerosols ("Direct"), and modifications of cloud properties ("Indirect") due to ship emissions. A, B, and C denote results obtained for different ship emission inventories.
