Education gives its recipients the tools they need to actively structure their professional lives, providing each individual and society as a whole with additional freedom within which to operate and make decisions. Hence, offering individuals a suitable education that matches their interests and abilities is an important concern. At the DLR Project Management Agency, we support programmes and initiatives that promote equal opportunities and participation among children and adolescents who are at greater risk of disenfranchisement within the educational system due to their social or ethnic background.
Extracurricular cultural and educational programmes – for example the ‘Kultur macht stark. Bündnisse für Bildung’ programme – encourage children and adolescents in their personal development. Further education services, for instance in the field of ‘Literacy and basic education’ are geared towards adults and are intended to strengthen their competencies in reading, writing and arithmetic. Additionally, the ‘Further Education Information Hotline’ helps raise awareness for the full range of services on offer within the further education sector, providing clear advice on suitable opportunities. Moreover, these initiatives share another common goal: they contribute to the support of physically impaired people and those with special educational needs to ensure their integration within the education system. The underlying aim of educational equality is ultimately to consider the needs of all human beings and provide them with the necessary opportunities to participate in the education system to the best of their abilities. At the DLR Project Management Agency, we guarantee successful project support and implementation, providing PR and transfer services for each specific funding programme, for instance by preparing our own publications or organising conferences.
