How can refugees within Europe be relocated more appropriately and how can policy and governments contribute more effectively to the fight against such displacement? What role does communication play in migration events? Is it useful to combine asylum and migration policies? And what does current immigration mean for the social cohesion of a society and for the standards of a ‘good life’? How can we contribute to the successful integration of refugees, in view of the diversity of religious affiliations, educational level and professional qualifications?
From these few questions alone it is clear that the investigation of the complex subjects of flight, migration and integration is dependent upon an interdisciplinary perspective, combining insights from social science, law, culture studies, education and humanities, as well as economics. As the DLR Project Management Agency, we help by offering our expertise and by implementing relevant promotional measures that are currently being prepared to answer these challenging questions.
