This body enables objective and process-independent audits and reports that are also recognised by external institutions. On behalf of the ministries, it reviews programmes and projects co-financed by the European Social Fund (ESF). Its aim is to establish good practice and economic efficiency, to highlight potential improvements and to identify systemic weak points – hence ensuring greater security in funding management. The audit body maintains its own quality management system certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001.
