Our society is facing radical changes. Economic globalisation, rapid technical advancement, development of a services economy, and demographic challenges affect society as a whole. To manage these effects, conducting excellent fundamental research, rapidly converting research results into economic applications and increasing the innovative capacity in business are essential. In addition to technical progress, social innovation is particularly important to ensure the successful modernisation of society. New working models will be necessary alongside an increase in equal opportunities and diversity. People with different nationalities and cultural backgrounds will help meet the demand for skilled workers. In this respect, it is important to understand and recognise the potential of other people and their cultural backgrounds.

At the DLR Project Management Agency, we support politicians and scientists in their attempts to find answers to important questions about our future in order to actively promote change at the earliest opportunity. Our experts in the areas of innovation and research transfer, humanities and social sciences research, education research, and integration, equal opportunities and gender research, provide advice as well as organise, disseminate and develop funding formats and support projects. We do this with the aim of assisting research institutions in the utilisation and dissemination of knowledge. We develop concepts, advise key figures, organise conferences and prepare publications to transfer lessons learned into practical applications.
