Ensuring the quality in research and science is a DLR corporate policy target. Therefore the Executive Board decided a company-wide DLR Management System.
The DLR Executive Board, as the top management, is responsible for the development and implementation of the DLR Management System. The focus there is the continuous improvement of the system effectivity. Initiatives regarding the planning and coordination as well as the progress monitoring will be decided in the Executive Board meeting.
Yearly, the Executive Board evaluates the eligibility, adequacy and the effectivity of the DLR-Management System as well as the target achievement on the base of the DLR Management Report.
In the perception of its tasks the Executive Board relies on the steering committee “DLR-Management System”. This currently consists of the Executive Board Representative, the Quality Management Representative and the Safety- and Environmental representative. The group will be gradually expanded.
The steering committee “DLR Management System” coordinates all activities of the DLR-Management System and ensures the implementation of the Executive Board’s requirements.
In case of the topics quality, environment, work safety and energy working groups have been set up, which conduce to communication exchange between the different management topics and further as consultant experts for realization and further development of the DLR Management System.
The additional expansions for working groups regarding the topics IT, risk management and compliance are planned.
