Mobile Platforms
AIMM
The Autonomous Industrial Mobile Manipulator (AIMM) of the DLR is focused on fetch and carry operations in partially unstructured environments. In contrast to traditional industrial robots, by combining a manipulator with a mobile platform, the application possibilities of a robotic system can be considerably extended, especially in an industrial context. For instance, thanks to the extended working space of the robot, large components can be machined.

ASURO
Build your own little high-tech robot! ASURO is a small, freely in C programmable mobile robot kit which has been developed for educational use especially in the DLR School_Lab.

LRU
The Lightweight Rover Unit (LRU) is the prototype of a mobile robot for exploration of unknown, impassable and hard to access terrain. The research work on semi-autonomy serves as preparation for future planetary exploration missions and terrestrial disaster operations.

SUPER
SUPER is a compact collection of the sensor components of our LRU rover. The system enables the recording of sensor data for navigation and positioning with minimal logistic effort and under low personnel input. The primary goal is the use in field tests in regions similar to other celestial bodies like the moon or Mars.
