Details
Tacterion is a spin-off from the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in Oberpfaffenhofen. The team formed in 2014. Since 2007 research was conducted at the Robotics and Mechatronics Center (RMC) that lead to the development of the tacterion technology - a new kind of tactile sensor. Tacterion offers a unique, patent-protected technology: a tactile sensor in form of a polymer-based artificial Skin. The tactile sensor can detect the slightest pressure on a complex shaped surface. The fields of application are manifold: in Robotics, in MedTech or as a new kind of input device in Human-Machine-Interaction.
