Self-made mobile robot

ASURO is a small, freely in C programmable mobile robot kit which has been developed for educational use, especially in the DLR School Lab. The build-up is very simple and also possible for a novice with electronic circuits. Apart from the board, only standard, commercially available components are used. All of these parts can be handled very easiliy.

The software is exclusively made with freeware tools. ASURO is therefore excellently suitable for home constructors who want to dare he entrance into processor-controlled circuits, as well as for pupil and student projects, advanced training or adult education centers.

Due to the fact that also the entire development of the electronics is possible with freeware tools, ASURO proves that it is possible to design functional robots without complex and expensive software, technology, and machine tools.
