Project details

The European manufacturing industry needs competitive solutions to maintain global leadership in products and services. Within the EUROC FP7 project, the Institute of Robotics and Mechatronics, together with the system provider company KUKA, is organizing an industry-relevant competition in the field of manufacturing logistics and manipulation. The participating teams from scientific institutions, end users and technology developers are provided with technologically and scientifically advanced mobile manipulation systems to measure themselves in realistic laboratory experiments. The integration of scientific questions from the core areas of perception, planning and regulation is a key unique feature of this industry-oriented competition. The final project phase will lead the best teams to conduct pilot experiments under real conditions at the production sites of the participating end users.
