Hi folks! My name is Justin. I'm a robot, more specifically a humanoid robot. Actually, I was built for missions in outer space. Well, now I'm standing here alone in a hall, and I'm not allowed to go outside. Boring!

You feel the same way because you have to stay at home too? I see... But listen, I have an idea! Why don't you build your own robot out of things that you have in your house? You can use Lego or Fischer technology - or simply build a robot from tin cans, cardboard or wire. If it can even move: great! If it just looks great: also good! Afterwards you take a picture of your robot and send it to me! Then I can look at some pictures of other robots, which would really cheer me up! The mail address is machmit@dlr.de. Your photos will then be published on the Flickr page of the German Aerospace Center! But please make sure that only your robot is shown in the picture - not you or other people! You can also publish your photos on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram. The best thing to do is to use the hashtag #RobotAtHome.

By the way: If you want to take a closer look at the robot lab I'm standing in, you can take a virtual tour on rmc.dlr.de/360.

Oh yeah, almost forgot: My human colleagues here at the institute have asked me to give you their best regards! And I should definitely also explain that I was not only designed for space. They also want to test with me how I can support people at home who need help in the future. Well, it fits somehow: Then I am also something like a "robot at home". So, now give me your photos of my future robot friends! I look forward to your pictures!

Justin alone at home ;-) Well, that's not entirely true. The robot is alone - but in his laboratory. At home, on the other hand, are all the colleagues who usually take care of him. And they actually managed to remote control Justin and the camera in the home office in such a way that he is waving to you here in this short video!
