DLR science prize for RM employee Alexander Dietrich

On December 4, this year's DLR Science Prize was awarded to Alexander Dietrich for his work entitled "Hierarchical Impedance-Based Tracking Control of Kinematically Redundant Robots", recently published in the IEEE Transactions on Robotics. The thesis deals with the use of multi-tasking concepts in robot control.

Christian Ott also deserves great recognition for his contribution to this publication. As head of the department for the analysis and control of complex robot systems, however, he could not be nominated.

The DLR Science Prize is a special appreciation of the Executive Board of the German Aerospace Center, which has now been awarded to the Institute of Robotics and Mechatronics for the third time in the last 15 years.
