Projects on Digital Transformation
EXACT
The aim of the EXACT project is to develop a fleet configuration that is as environmentally friendly as possible without being uneconomical. The Institute for Software Technology supports the EXACT project with the scientific integration software RCE., which allows engineers to create discipline-specific simulations and link them easily and flexibly to form complex, multidisciplinary simulation chains.

Virtual Satellite
The project Virtual Satellite focus on the topic of Model based Systems Engineering (MBSE). Research and Development started in 2007 initially supporting the Systems Engineering activities in the Concurrent Engineering Facility (CEF) in Bremen. Today this focus has shifted and the goal of digital support to spacecraft missions over the whole lifecycle starts to become reality. The results of this work are mostly condensed in the two software projects called Virtual Satellite 3 and 4.
