Artificial intelligence, robotics, IT – these are the magic words in technology today, and the focuses of the DLR_School_Lab RWTH Aachen. Here, schoolchildren find out how robots ‘learn’. They look at how drones and industrial robots are controlled, and learn about current and future issues. Here, a school field trip becomes an excursion into high-tech research.

Experiments

The hands-on experiments at the DLR_School_Lab RWTH Aachen deal with questions from the fields of aeronautics, space, energy and transport research, always with a focus on robotics and artificial intelligence. The high-tech programme in store for pupils includes a virtual exploration of Mars, modelling a city of the future that uses only renewable energy, and a look at autonomous flight systems.
