Experienced scientists of the Institute of Solar Research advise industrial companies and project developers in the preparation, implementation and evaluation of their own R&D projects.
We transfer knowledge and experience from CSP research and offer analysis and practical solutions for commercial solar thermal power plants.

Our services include

• Execution and supervision of experiments on solar thermal experimental platforms (Juelich solar tower, PSA Spain [owned by the Spanish research center CIEMAT])
• Development of components for solar thermal power plants (for example: receivers, heliostats, collectors)
• Technology assessment based on profitability studies
• Analysis of the operating performance of solar thermal systems and components through simulation studies (for example: transient behavior, material stresses)
• Creation and validation of simulation tools (example: EBSILON®Professional Solar Library)
• Advice in the implementation and operation of direct steam systems (parabolic trough and linear Fresnel)
