Lumoview’s founding team Arne Tiddens, Silvan Siegrist and Bernhard Hoffschmidt won the first place at the 24th founders award of the young network “Kölner Wirtschaftsjunioren” (in German: Business Juniors Cologne). Lumoview is an enterprise founded by two former employees of the Institute of Solar Research and the institute’s director Bernhard Hoffschmidt. The startup developed a digital measuring method and a measuring instrument for a fast energetic building analysis.
The Lumoview measuring device makes it possible to measure a room in a matter of seconds and collects important data like the room temperature or the humidity. The instrument additionally is able to make a 360-degree shot of the room and identifies weak spots within the heat insulation. Something that used to take 30 to 60 minutes, now only takes two seconds with the measuring device. The young startup’s staff has already grown to 15 employees since its formation in 2019.
The network of young entrepreneurs and leaders called “Wirtschaftsjunioren Köln” has been giving the founders award to promising startups for 24 years now. The goal of the founding award is to give new talents valuable tips and a public platform on their ladder of success. The first three winners receive a prize money of 700 to 3.000 Euros.
