Agile Robots - Deutschlands erstes Roboter-Einhorn


Die Ausgründung Agile Robots erhält in einer neuen Finanzierungsrunde 186 Millionen Euro und wird dabei von Investoren mit mehr als einer Milliarde Dollar bewertet (850 Millionen Euro). Agile Robots entwickelt die nächste Generation von Robotern mit Künstlicher Intelligenz, die mit dem Menschen im Team zusammenarbeiten - zum Beispiel in der Medizin- und der Industrierobotik.

INVENT – CFRP components for the aviation and space sectors


Demand but no supply: 21 years ago, aircraft manufacturer Dornier was looking for a producer of CFRP engine cowlings. There were none to be found at the time, but the German Aerospace Center (DLR) had the necessary expertise and initiative among its scientists. Three of them went on to establish the company INVENT GmbH, turning their ideas into products and supplying Dornier with what it needed. Today, INVENT has around 100 employees and is a sought-after supplier not only among aircraft manufacturers, but also in the space industry. The company celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2016 and continues to conduct joint research projects with DLR to this day.
